Cheapflights is an online service allowing users to search and compare over 4 million flight deals for free.

How People Business assisted the client

Directed a Management Training Program comprised of:

  • Half-day workshops (employees could choose morning or afternoon sessions, ensuring cost-effectiveness and flexibility for staff)

  • Training in managing yourself through self-motivating, career development, time management, assertiveness, establishing work/life balance, and strategic and critical thinking

  • Training in managing others, the role of the manager, leading and managing a team, empowerment and delegation, management performance, coaching effectively, and managing upwards

  • Training in managing relationships, managing peers, influencing skills, negotiating skills, and managing conversations

  • Training in delivering results, thinking strategically, developing business cases, and project management

  • Training in communicating effectively, writing briefs, writing proposals, presentation skills, verbal communication, and interpersonal sensitivity

Delivered a People Training Program consisting of:

  • A  realistic and challenging case study about a department in Cheapflights

  • Working through the case study to learn the HR knowledge that would be needed to solve practical issues that would come up, such as sickness absence, holidays, pay, recruitment, managing others, HR, and facilities

Cheap Flights

I took over the Chairmanship of St Mark’s Hospital Foundation in December 2017 and one of my first actions was to carry out a strategic review of all areas of the Foundation together with my fellow trustees . People Business had been HR advisers to the Foundation for a number of years so I made contact with Natalie to seek advice on a number of HR matters. Over the course of the summer Natalie was an invaluable source of HR advice . She was pragmatic and sensible with her advice given the Foundation is not a large organisation and she was always responsive to queries despite her part time working schedule .
