WDP are growing their services across England, winning contracts, and bringing in new staff. These changes require clarity on the role of the Exec Team and changes to ways of working. People Business worked in partnership with WDP to design and facilitate a two-day ‘Executive Team Development’ event in April 2022.
The event gave the senior leadership team the opportunity to take time out and reflect on how they work effectively as a team. This was especially welcome as the Exec had not been able to meet face-to-face as a team since lockdown.
People Business introduced a toolkit to build trust, collaboration and accountability, and addressed strategic issues for the Exec as role models for the future WDP culture. They enjoyed having the time and space to reflect on their changing role and committed to a transformational ambition for the future with a clear plan for next steps, building on the personal connections that had been strengthened through their time together. People Business have been invited to now engage with the Clinical Leadership Team as a continuation of this journey.
Graeme has supported us with our Executive Team development. He facilitated 2 really productive days with our team, having worked with us to thoroughly prepare and tailor to our needs. His time, support and challenge was really effective and has made a difference to the way we work and lead as a team, but also to the way in which we are now working with our new Senior Leadership Team. Working with Graeme and People Business was a worthwhile investment in our development and he exceeded our expectations. The developmental work was thought-provoking, fun and Graeme created and facilitated a safe space in which we could challenge and support each other effectively. We intend to work with Graeme and People Business again and indeed, we are currently doing so!
