Room 8 Group is a Ukrainian global leader in external game development, co-development, art, trailer production and Quality Assurance for AAA console, PC and mobile titles. They have studios across Europe, North and South America and drive innovation and creativity, working in partnership with the game industry’s top creators. Games include Battlefield, Night Forest, Outriders and Project Drone Galaxy.

The Head of HR Operations, based in Ukraine contacted People Business looking for an HR consultant partner who could support their expansion in the UK with best legally compliant people practices and processes to support their growth ambitions.

How People Business assisted the client

As part of a retained contract People Business initially reviewed existing global policies and employment contracts to ensure they were legally compliant in the UK.  We then localised the global employee handbook and supported the Head of HR and Director of the UK with onboarding future talent which included providing guidance on legislative requirements such as right to work checks, references, health and safety including DSE checks.

Our dedicated HR consultants were on hand to respond and support Room8 on any employee related questions and statutory entitlements, providing ongoing HR advice and support to the head office HR department. In this same way they were able to reach out to us on an ‘as needed’ basis with any queries or concerns on people related matters for staff based in the UK.
