Prime Practice Partnership Ltd

Prime Practice Partnership (PPP) are a group of GP medical practices in East London with whom People Business have partnered since 2014 to provide HR services including employee relations, TUPE support and training programmes.

Most recently, in 2023, the Operations Director contacted People Business to design and deliver workshops to develop change management and communications skills aligned with the Valuing Diversity and Dignity at Work policy.

How People Business assisted Prime Practice Partnership Ltd

The objectives of the workshops were to develop awareness and understanding of collaborative and respectful working relationships enabling adoption of changes to NHS requirements for GP practices to enhance patient service delivery. Two workshops were designed for delivery to a team of clinical and non-clinical staff and included content from the NHS Civility and Respect guidelines and the changes needed for increasing ease of access by patients to GP services. The first workshop focused on Change and Communication covering reactions to change and practicing positive communication and feedback skills to successfully adopt change. The second workshop focused on Diversity and Inclusion covering the Equality Act, unconscious bias and identifying what constitutes acceptable and respectful behaviour in the workplace.

The delegates included GPs, nurses and practice management staff (managing front of house services) who participated in discussion groups and exercises to identify best practices for developing collaborative approaches to deliver excellence in patient services ensuring positive communications and respectful relationships with all staff and patients. Particular insights resulted from understanding the ‘change curve’ and how to support staff with adoption of new working practices that aligned with the NHS goal of improving patient experience and satisfaction. The workshop also facilitated and enabled delivery of constructive feedback to develop skills and knowledge in all participating staff.
